Hello guys! I’m back ^-^ . As promised, we will be talking about Japan. So…… I’ll be introducing you the Electric Town of Japan, Akihabara (do not be confused between Electric Town and Electric City.. hehe ^-^ ). Akihabara is originately called Akibagahara which means “autumn leaf field”. It also comes from Akiba, named after a fire-controlling deity of a firefighting shrine built after the area was destroyed by a fire in 1869.
Akihabara was the major shopping center for household electronic goods and the post-war black market before, that is why people named Akihabara as Akihabara Electric Town (Akihabara Denki Gai) shortly after World War II
Currently, Akihabara gained the nickname “Anime City” by people around the world. It is considered as an otaku cultural center and a shopping district for otaku’s obsession like anime, manga, video games, costumes, posters, and computer goods.
Note: Otaku is someone who obsessively exerts time, money, and energy into a hobby. In the West and other countries, the word usually describes an anime or manga “fanatic” and is not typically perceived as vulgar. -Wikipedia

Maid cafés are famous and are found everywhere in the area, many local citizens and foreigners are visiting these kind of cafés where “kawaii” (cute) maids are giving you their “Kawaii Aura”, “Love Love Power”, “Flying Kisses”, and many other cheesy yet adorable things they do to entertain you.

The area is almost filled with anime related stuffs for which the advertisements on top of the buildings are being promoted by an anime character, the transportations are designed in a certain anime, cosplayers are found everywhere, and there’s talented Idol groups like AKB48. Now, it’s proven that Akihabara deserved the nickname, “Anime City” ^-^ . How I wish there’s an anime city here in the Philippines too where cosplaying is normal with or without an event.

This City is the PERFECT place for otakus. I mean, hey! They are selling unlimited anime stuffs, concert for Vocaloid on stage exist (in Hologram), they are releasing special events and celebrations for anime lovers, they are accepting fanfictions, you have a thousand of chances to meet the creator of a certain anime series/movies or mangas, you have a chance to shake hands with Pop Idols, no one will judge you no matter what and how you dress/cosplay, and lastly, otaku culture absolutely runs the area. DUDE, I WANNA GO THERE!! ♡^♡

Now that I’ve mentioned Otaku Culture, maybe I’ll pick that topic for the next blog..^-^
I guess, that’s all I can share with you today. See ya guys again… ^-^
Photos are not mine, ctto ^-^
